The son of Henrik Henriksson (1817 – 18xx) went to USA. Henrik was born
on the Risa 2 farm, and cousin to Inger Olsdtr. Risa.

Three sons of Thomas Risa (1872 –
1932) from first marriage, went to USA. Thomas was born on the Risa 2 farm, and
brothers of ML and Ole.
This picture of Big Olav and Valdis Risa was taken in 1969 on Vigrestad
the last summer he was in Norway. (Kristen, the son of Valdis, was working in
Chicago that summer, and stayed at Big Olav’s apartment).
Olav Kornelius, b. 1897, d. 1970, married in USA, no
children.
He came to oncle ML’s farm
in Hanley Falls. He was called Big Olav compared to ML’s eldest son Olav. After
some years, he bought his own farm in Clarkfield. But he was no farmer, so he
rented out the farm and went to Chicago. There he started a chocolate factory.
Many years later a big factory chain bought the factory. He invested the money
in an apartment building, where he acted as a houseporter.

Arne Michal, b. 1906,
d. , married in USA. He also came to
ML, but lived some years at
Ole’s farm. He had 2 sons.
One of them has taken a doctor degree at Iowa State
University in Ames,

His grandfather Kornelius was born on the Risa 2 farm, and grandmother on the Risa 3 farm (see no. 2. The connection).
Kristen went to the Purdue University in Lafayette in Indiana to complete his technical studies with a master degree. And there he got married. In 1970 he started to work in Pittsburgh.
